Water To Wine, The Story of Barabbas

An Original Theatrical Production

"...Jesus. To think, that name once belonged to a simple carpenter's son. Now, it raises religious hackles and carries with it the whisper of Messiah. Jesus, Messiah. How can I bring myself to buy into such a delusion?" - Barabbas

Vista Hills Church presents the sweeping tale of Barabbas, an epic look at the life and times of Jesus as seen through the eyes of a murderer and insurrectionist. Set during the years of Jesus' ministry and following the trail of majesty, a far more dark and sinister story unfolds, one touched by a man's desire to see his nation free of Roman rule. Enter the world of the Sicarii, a fledgling Jewish resistance undeterred by the dangers of rebellion and driven to see Rome burning.

"Goliath rages within our midst and Israel cries out for her champion. I hear of a Nazarene carpenter who answers her plea by simply articulating what is already in the heart of the masses. Freedom. Faith. Hope. Tell me, how much more will Israel be spurred on by a true example?" - Prince Manaen

It is a violent world, a world of political corruption, of love and betrayal and lost innocence. Insurrection is a blind giant requiring a simple guide to direct it's path...

And the only thing standing in the way is a Man and a cross.

This is the story of Barabbas.
